Project Fresh

Bringing the freshest of foods to the aging in West Michigan

Senior Meals Program, Inc. is excited to be working with the Michigan State Extension program to once again bring Senior Project Fresh to West Michigan. Eligible applicants over the age of 60 who reside in Kent county, can sign up to receive a coupon book equal to $20 worth of vouchers that can be used exclusively on fresh fruits and vegetables at their local farmers' markets. This service helps to bring fresh, Michigan-grown produce to all throughout the summer season, and supports the Michigan collective of farmers.

The 2013 season has officially begun! Senior Project Fresh is being held through 28 area sites, with classes already scheduled from the June - August. Please note, spaces fill quickly and many sites are already accepting clients on a waitlist basis only. For more information, inquire at any of the sites below or call (616) 459 - 3111.
