Upcoming event: ACCESS Hunger Walk

Every Spring, ACCESS of West Michigan sponsors the Hunger Walk - a collaborative event with many non-profits in the greater Grand Rapids region that raises money and awareness to address the growing problem of food insecurity. Senior Meals Program is delighted to once again participate in this worthy cause. Walkers raise funds through sponsors of their teams, and complete a 5K walk bright and early on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Senior Meals is currently looking for support in all areas (walkers, volunteers, and team sponsors). To donate directly to the Senior Meals team, please click here. Recent Events: 2012 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon  

Senior Meals Program was delighted to once again celebrate the dedicated individuals who put service first when it comes to delivering great food and better smiles to seniors in need in West Michigan. Our volunteers make it possible to do what we do, so this celebration of their generosity and spirit is always a great way to welcome in the spring and summer months.

The theme this year was "Hollywood Stars". For one day only, the SMP Offices was decked out in all the glitz and glamour.

Thanks to our fabulous chefs, Kelly & Mike, lunch was a feast!

We were pleased to award the first ever "Volunteer of the Year" Award for outstanding service in honor of Hank & Marge Zuverink. Paul Beebe, our President & CEO presented the award to the 2012 recipiants, Frank & Faith Rivard.

It was a great day to celebrate the service of all our dedicated and generous volunteers. We appreciate all that you do!
